Greetings and felicitous salutations! For those good gentles with a passion for leather, Bergental hosts a Leathercrafters workshop on the fourth Monday of the month. Come share your skills, learn new techniques, or perhaps learn how to work with leather for the first time. Leathercraft is a time honored art, dating back many thousands of years. Many of the techniques in use today are little changed from ages past. Come to learn, or, come to teach. All are welcome, none denied.
Projects in the works are Bracers, Belt Pouches, Belts and more. Materials are available if you have need, or bring your own. Tools are available as well, so do not feel as though you must have all the implements of destruction in order to attend. If you have extra tools, please bring them to add to the diversity. Some handy things to bring are: Pad of heavy paper (sketch pads are great); pencil/pen; sheets of wax paper; x-acto knife; books showing medieval/celtic designs; and most importantly, yourself!
The meetings are on the fourth Monday of each month, and run from 7:00PM until whenever. They are held at the home of Lord Detharlion of Nottingham, who can be reached by e-mail at mgio@yahoo.com.
