Brangwyne was born the daughter of an itinerant goat-herder and a Mongol
princess. As a young lass, she was kidnapped by Caspian sea pirates, who
then were caught up in a storm and shipwrecked off the coast of Lithuania.
Brangwyne survived the wreck but had amnesia as a result of the crash.
Fortunately she was found and adopted by a Portuguese trader family and
given a name that they thought was either Welsh or English, because it
seemed to suit her. She helped to make clothing for herself and the family,
and even learned to embroider things suitable for gifts and trade. Some
years later, on a merchant/vacation trip to Constantinople, she met a
traveling Scotsman named Seamus O'Corcrain and married him. They continued
their travels until one day they came to Bergental and found a place they
could call home.

Brangwyne continues to sew, embroider, and now has taken up calligraphy and
illumination. She serves as Chronicler to the Barony of Bergental, taking
minutes at business meetings, and publishing the baronial newsletter, the
Bergental Berserker.
